Privacy Policy

Arara SEO operates araraseo.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information Arara SEO collects, how that information is used, and what rights you have under applicable Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where applicable, provincial legislation. Sections 1 to 4 concern information collected through this website. Section 5 concerns data held for a firm that engages Arara SEO for paid work (a "Client").
1. Information Collected Through This Website
Information you provide. The audit request form collects:
- Your business website URL
If you go on to book a walkthrough call, the scheduler asks for your name, your email address, your phone number, the date and time you choose, and any notes you add, and your website is carried over from the form above.
Information collected automatically. Arara SEO uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use this site. When you visit araraseo.com, Google Analytics may set cookies (including _ga and _ga_*) and collect:
- Pages viewed and the order in which they are viewed
- Approximate location (country and region) derived from your IP address
- Device, browser, and operating system
- Referring URL, the site or search query you arrived from
- Engagement events: how far down a page you scroll, how long you stay on key pages, clicks on email and phone links, audit CTA clicks, pricing-page interest, audit-form submissions, and completed call bookings. These are collected by Google Tag Manager and passed to Google Analytics.
This site uses no advertising pixels, no retargeting tags, and no session-recording (session replay) tools. No video-style playback of your visit is captured.
Server logs. The hosting provider maintains standard server logs (IP address, request timestamp, browser type, referring URL) for security and abuse-prevention purposes, retained for no more than 30 days.
2. How That Information Is Used
Information submitted through the audit form and the booking scheduler is used solely to:
- Prepare and deliver the free SEO audit you requested
- Reach you by email or phone about the walkthrough call you booked
- Send you one follow-up email approximately two weeks after delivery to confirm your receipt and ask whether you have questions
- Contact you if you initiate further correspondence
If you submit the audit form and do not book a call, Arara SEO may contact your firm about the audit you requested, through the contact details published on your firm's own website.
Arara SEO does not use your information for unsolicited marketing, for newsletters, or for any purpose beyond the audit engagement you initiated.
3. Disclosure of Your Information
Arara SEO does not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties, except as follows:
- Netlify, Inc.: Netlify hosts this website and receives form submissions. Your submission data passes through Netlify's servers and is governed by Netlify's Privacy Policy. Netlify infrastructure is located in the United States.
- Google LLC (Google Analytics): Google Analytics 4 measures site usage as described in section 1. Pageview and event data passes through Google's servers and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Google's analytics infrastructure is located in the United States. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Google LLC (Google Ads): Arara SEO's Google Analytics property has been linked to Arara SEO's Google Ads account since June 17, 2026. Where Arara SEO runs a search advertisement, the key events described in section 1, an audit form submission and a completed booking, may be imported into Google Ads as conversion actions, and a click on an advertisement adds an identifier to the address of the page you arrive on, which allows Google to match that visit to the advertisement. That data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Personalized advertising is disabled on the link, so no audience is exported from Google Analytics to Google Ads.
- Cal.com (appointment scheduling): The booking page embeds a Cal.com scheduler. If you book a walkthrough call, the name, email address, phone number, website, notes and appointment details you submit are processed by Cal.com to create and manage that booking, and are governed by Cal.com's Privacy Policy.
- Legal compliance: Arara SEO may disclose information where required to do so by law or in response to valid requests from public authorities.
4. Data Retention
Arara SEO retains the contact information you submitted and the audit prepared for you for up to 12 months from the date of submission, or until you request deletion, whichever comes first. After that period, that information is permanently deleted from Arara SEO's records.
5. Client Account Data
This section concerns a firm that engages Arara SEO for paid work (a "Client"). It is separate from sections 1 to 4, which concern visitors to this website.
Before an engagement. Arara SEO works from publicly available information about a firm: the firm's own website, the results its pages return in public search, the public links pointing to it, and its public business listing. No grant of access is needed for any of this, and none is requested before a firm chooses to give one.
What a Client grants. A Client may grant Arara SEO access to accounts the Client owns: Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Business Profile, and advertising accounts such as Google Ads or Meta Ads where the Client grants them. Access is granted to one Arara SEO account. On Google Search Console it is granted as Restricted, on Google Analytics as Viewer, and on Google Business Profile as Manager. The Client remains the owner of every account throughout the engagement. Arara SEO does not ask for, receive, or hold a password to any of these accounts: access to each is the grant the Client makes on the platform itself, and it is the Client's to withdraw. For the Google Business Profile, the Client's invitation, or the Client's written confirmation of it, is kept as the record of the access the Client authorized. Arara SEO also requires access to the Client's website to carry out the work, and returns that access when the engagement ends.
What the data is used for. Data from a Client's accounts is used only to carry out the work for that Client. It is never compared with another Client's data, and it is never disclosed to another Client.
Where it is held. Records exported from a Client's accounts are held on Arara SEO's own systems, in Arara SEO's backups, and in the platforms the data came from. Arara SEO's backups are stored on Google Drive and are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
How it is processed. Arara SEO uses AI agents to process a Client's data and to perform the work faster.
Data held in Google's platforms. Data held in Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Google Business Profile remains subject to Google's own policies, including Google's limits on how long that data may be kept. Figures read through the Google Business Profile API are read at the moment they are needed and are not stored by Arara SEO. Any change Arara SEO's tooling makes to a Client's Google Business Profile account, including adding or removing a manager, is reported to that Client within 48 hours of the change.
Deletion. Once an engagement has ended, a Client may ask Arara SEO to destroy the records exported from the Client's accounts, and Arara SEO will destroy them. Copies held in Arara SEO's backups are not reached by that destruction.
Returning access. A Client may withdraw access at any time. Within seven business days of the Client's notice, Arara SEO removes its access, and every permission its tooling held, from the Client's Search Console properties, Google Analytics properties, Google Business Profile, and advertising accounts, so that the Client has sole control of those accounts again. Arara SEO confirms the removal to the Client in writing.
6. Your Rights
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information Arara SEO holds about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Request deletion of your information
- Withdraw consent to the use of your information at any time

7. Data Security
Arara SEO takes reasonable precautions to protect information submitted through this site against loss, theft, and unauthorized access. Form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS and processed through Netlify, which maintains its own security controls. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, and Arara SEO cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Third-Party Links
This site may contain links to third-party websites (Google, Yelp, HomeStars, and others). Arara SEO is not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and you are encouraged to review their policies independently.
9. Children's Privacy
Arara SEO's services are directed to businesses and their representatives. Arara SEO does not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact Arara SEO and it will be deleted promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
Arara SEO may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When it does, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page is revised. You are encouraged to review this page periodically.
